"We would just like to congratulate you and send a big Thank You for our day with Mick on Saturday, May 15th to the Daintree. We were only sorry that it was our last trip before flying home to Sydney on Sunday, and that we didn't book with Tropical Horizons for our previous trips.

Mick made our day so good, it was like travelling around with a friend that you had known for a while. He was so very informative with the information as we went along, and was also far superior to the [other large tour company] guys that we went with previously. Much more organised, and gave us very good personal attention for the day.

We thank him sincerely for a great day out, and for being such a great tour guide for the day. When our friends at home in Sydney ask about our holiday, we will certainly be telling them when they go up to Cairns to make sure that all their tours are with Tropical Horizons. Now that we are retired, we have quite a lot of friends who will be interested to know about our holiday and what it was like, and you, Tropical Horizons and especially Mick, will be getting a big "yes" from us. Daintree Tour - 31/05/2010

"Just a brief note in response to two tours that my husband, sister and myself completed with your company. On Saturday 17th April, we toured with Joe to the Daintree, Pt Douglas & Mossman Gorge and on Monday 19th April we toured with Mick to the Atherton tablelands, Millaa Millaa Falls, Paronella Park, etc.
On both occasions the drivers were prompt, courteous and generous in their commentary. Their local knowledge was exemplary which only provided a more in depth introduction to the areas visited.
The fact that we were able to be collected and returned to our accommodation at the Big 4 Crystal Cascades caravan park only served to enhance the experience a little more as we were not required to figure out our way into the city in early morning traffic.
As visitors to Queensland from Perth, Western Australia, we would have no hesitation in recommending your company for tours in the Cairns area to anyone. It would be appreciated if you would pass our comments and thanks on to the drivers concerned."

"Our driver was Rafeek. We went on the Waterfalls, MaMu Canopy and Paronella Park tour on the 8th. Rafeek is a brilliant guide. He made the day even more enjoyable. His knowledge and commentary were very entertaining. Morning tea at Lake Barrine was delicious. We loved the lunch. My eldest son LOVED the desert. We were in Cairns for 7 days and this tour was definitely the highlight of the week. It was exceptional."

"My name is Scotty McIntyre, and I just wanted to say that I was staying @ Skinny Dips Resort in Cairns the first 2 weeks of March of this year. One of the points of interest was having a day in the Daintree Rainforest. This was a partnership with Turtle Cove Resort. I had an AMAZING time! I saw things & learned so much from Frank, our tour guide, I was just amazed. Frank is so very knowledgeable & considerate, it was a real treat! The stops that he made for tea, Organic Ice Cream & the luncheon @ the resort was wonderful. "A brief note to thank you for booking us on the Tropical Horizons Tours Waterfalls Tour last week. It was well organised and everywhere we went was extremely interesting and enjoyable, even in the rain. The scenery ranged from sugar cane and banana farms to cattle pastures, dense rain forest, spectacular waterfalls, Lake Barrine, the stunning MaMu canopy walk and delightful Paronella Park. As we went along we were kept entertained and informed by our truly professional guide, Rafeek , a great character who has a nice sense of humour and was endlessly patient. We have travelled in many parts of the world but we must say that this was the best one day tour we have ever experienced."

"I was part of your tour in the Tablelands today, and I really found it fantastic! As a European, I am not usually very keen on tours, and as a professor I am quite a critical person. But I loved everything from the very first minute until the end of the day. Unlike many other tour companies in Cairns, you perfectly know how to cater to a demanding European clientele.

We had an absolutely marvelous day and would appreciate you passing this feedback on from all of us.  We had a bus, just for the group of 11 of us and Franck, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic.  He was friendly, chatty and full of information about the places, plants and wildlife and we learnt so much about the rainforest and the Daintree during the day.  He was flexible with us and incredibly easy going and made the day a very special one for all of us.  Please can you pass on our appreciation and gratitude - we will all certainly cherish this day in our memories.  We enjoyed every bit of this day - thank you for recommending it to us and booking us into it - we can certainly recommend it.

We felt that it was educational and informative but not overdone.  From experience, some tour guides can provide information overload in an attempt to entertain the participants.  We felt more like family than just people who needed to be entertained.  We also believe that the tour was good value for money and being retired that is important to us.

"Jo & I took 2 tours during our 6 days in Cairns. I think the tours were 3 & 5 but I'm not sure. On March 10 our guide was Greg and then Shane on March 11. These tours were fantastic; fun, action packed, educational and inspirational. And Cairns is so beautiful. We didn't get to see any crocs in the river or tree kangaroos but there was so much we did get to see it's impossible to be disappointed. Compared to another tour company we had on another day, Tropical Horizons are AAA+!
We've recommended your tours to family and friends. Plus, as we didn't get to see Kuranda and such, we're coming back for another week in November and bringing some friends with. Hopefully this time we will get to see a wild croc. Thanks heaps."

"My entire reason for logging on to submit a feedback form is to thank our guide for a great day.  I believe his name was Greg- our tour was on Sunday Jan 11 2009 to Cape Trib.  He was faced with an awful rainy day, one extremely pushy & rude guest, and a flooded road, yet he handled everything superbly and made sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and having a good time.
Despite the rain and a delay for the flooded road, we got to enjoy everything on the itinerary and he worked with what he had to make sure the stops were fun and educational."

"As you may be aware Marj, Jean, Shirley and myself travelled on the above tour on Sunday 16th. We all agreed that we had a terrific time, and that Richard our driver was absolutely wonderful. He has obviously done heaps of research and was able to talk very knowledgably about everything from sugar cane to cattle to bananas etc.etc. His personality and his obvious enjoyment of his job certainly comes through in his handling of the tour. He looked after everyone, offered to take photos and generally went above and beyond his duties.

The cruise on Lake Barrine was as always very special and Warren our skipper ensured that we saw everything there was to see. The lunch at Mungalli Falls was very well presented and enjoyable. The venue of sitting right there beside the falls was just lovely.
The Mamu walk was very special and enjoyable and well worth the climb up the tower. I have not been to Paronella Park in many years but it was worth while having the guided walk with Mark and hearing the history again, he also touched on the damage done by Cyclone Larry.

The coach was well presented and clean and comfortable, and the Air Conditioning was lovely on such a very hot day. Richard’s driving was very safe and careful and we all felt safe in his care."

"My husband and I took your Cape Tribulation tour on Friday 22nd August. We thought the whole experience was magnificent. As I stated in the form you can provide excellent marketing through internet, magazines, brochures and TV however you can never go past an excellent recommendation from a satisfied customer. This is how I knew of your tour from a workmate who took this particular tour in June so when we made a booking at the tour desk of our resort we only asked about this one. We will continue to pass on the recommendation ourselves after such a satisfying experience. We rated the bus and itinerary as excellent. Bus spotless and comfortable.
Pleased to have seat belts in the bus. The tour was not too long as the distance between activities as well as the meal breaks gave you time to recuperate. Also the walking was not too difficult for people of all ages. If you took anything out of the tour it would have a negative effect as it would limit the diversity of experiences provided. The buffet lunch at the Cape Restaurant was superb as was the location. The river cruise operator and staff at the Daintree Discovery Centre were professional and friendly without being overbearing. Two great parts to the tour. The insider information of your tour gives the tourist a wonderful diverse snapshot of the rainforest region which could not be achieved on a self catering trip.

Your greatest asset was our tour guide and driver: the fabulous, funny, factual, funky Frenchman Frank. Frank really brought the tour to life, his anecdotes making it an active rather than passive experience. He was a fountain of information- it was amazing the in depth knowledge Frank has about flora, fauna, ecology and history of this beautiful region. And he showed a genuine desire to improve his knowledge and assist clients, making references to books if he couldn't answer a query. Frank was courteous and respectful to all clients making sure he included everyone in one to one conversations rather than favoring a small group. He took the trouble to disembark from the bus and personally greet or farewell clients when picking them up or dropping them back at their accommodation. Thank you Frank for a wonderful day."
